Documents · Avera Docs

Documents that are views, not copies.

An Avera Docs document is an item whose body is content: it embeds the items it describes and queries them live, so it reflects today's design, not the day someone last rebuilt it. Looking for files on your desktop? That's Avera Drive.

Living documents

Embed, query, review. Never paste.

Embed, don't paste

Requirements, risks, and parts appear in documents as embeds, not copies: edit the item, and every document showing it is current.

Tables that query

"All open risks," "all verifications for this subsystem": live tables, not snapshots pasted before review.

Structure with meaning

Items placed in a document get outline numbers derived from it; membership is traceable like everything else.

Review like code

Versions compare as redlines; comments anchor to the exact passage; every change is attributed.

The one exception

Signed means frozen.

When a document goes to review, its live content freezes into an exact snapshot: what you sign is immutable, byte for byte, and the signature covers it. Reject or revise, and it thaws back into a living draft. The items live; the signed record stands still.

Technical file · DHF · CER

The file that's never rebuilt.

Your technical file, DHF, and clinical evaluation are documents over the system of record: generated from source data, always current, and frozen only when signed. The week-before-the-audit rebuild disappears, because there is nothing to rebuild.

Controlled output

Export that holds up.

Controlled PDF and Word output with the document's identity, revision, and signatures: deterministic, so the exported record is the signed record.
